Lien – Founder and manager
I’m a registered IBASA Business Advisor, passionate about growing businesses and building brands in the design and wellness industries. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Hogeschool Universiteit Brussels (HUB) and a Masters in Higher Education Studies from the University of the Free State (UFS).
I’m also a continuous learner with a passion for helping people create a healthier lifestyle for themselves. This led me to pursue an integral hatha yoga teacher training certificate from the Academy for Yoga and Ayurveda in 2019. Alongside yoga, I believe that meal prep can play a powerful role in achieving a healthier lifestyle, which ultimately motivated me to set up Vegan Meal Prep Sunday.
However, Vegan Meal Prep Sunday isn’t my full-time job; I’m currently employed as the marketing and office manager at KMMA architects in Cape Town, South Africa.
Jessica – Advising dietitian
I’m a registered clinical dietitian who is passionate about the use of plant-based diets for the treatment and prevention of obesity and chronic diseases of lifestyle such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer.
I hold a Bsc. in Dietetics from Stellenbosch University, and during my community service year at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg, I was able to specialise more in all aspects of clinical nutrition, including Paediatric and neonatal nutrition, renal nutrition, surgical nutrition and oncology nutrition.
When it came to my Masters, I wanted to research the effects of plant-based diets in an attempt to find solutions to some of my own health problems. I lost 15kg’s and drastically transformed my own health with the use of a plant-based diet. After altering the course of my health I was driven to open my own private practice in Cape Town which focuses on helping others to achieve optimal health using abundant plant-centred diets.
Since my practice has opened, I have been able to assist dozens of people to successfully transform their health and improve their quality of life. I also assist athletes, pregnant women, lactating women and children who are in need of specific and personalised vegan or vegetarian diets in order to achieve optimal health, well-being, and performance.
Since receiving my Masters degree in Nutrition I have been even more motivated to use my skills as a researcher to further evaluate the scientific literature and spread the message of a plant-based diet.

Chloe – Content contributor and editor
I was born and raised in Cape Town and have been working in content creation and digital marketing for eight years. My passion for storytelling and creative content began as a child, where I would often daydream about the romantic lives of writers. I pursued the writer’s life and graduated with a degree in media and communications from the University of the Free State, where I met the lovely Lien.
When I’m not crafting copy or strategising campaigns at my day job, you’ll find me outdoors – running, climbing, hiking, or swimming. Oh, and eating… I think I could exist solely on Merlot, peanut butter, and freshly baked bread with butter.
While I don’t follow a solely vegan diet, veganism has changed how I look at food and has certainly altered my food choices for the better. I am happier, healthier, and make smarter choices for my well-being and for our planet. Thank goodness for Vegan Meal Prep Sunday right?
Tegan – Graphic designer
Qualified with a degree in visual communication, I have always been passionate about communicating a message and how to convey it, simply and effectively for any audience to understand – kind of like getting to the crux of things and silencing the noise which could deter from the essence of what is being communicated. This obviously doesn’t only apply to design.
I have always pursued authenticity; what is really behind the layers of clutter or subjective opinion or what is generally accepted. This has also filtered into how I live; finding what is honest and transparent, a way of life following the guideline of “do no harm”. I have visited the source of where my animal products come from, being goats dairy, eggs and honey and making sure the farming practices are done consciously and with love. Love is everything.
Following an Ayurvedic lifestyle (complemented with yoga, where I met Lien) of nurturing one’s nature (or ‘constitution’) has completely simplified my eating and lifestyle choices… getting back to the idea that food is nourishment and is your simplest medicine. I feel privileged to be a part of Vegan Meal Prep Sunday, to contribute to and share in its vision of simplifying and creating ease within one’s life.
