What Is Overnight Muesli?
The creation of muesli cereal is credited to Swiss physician and nutritional pioneer Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner who developed it around 1900.
He prepared muesli with milk or cream, a squeeze of citrus juice, often with a sweetener such as honey, as well as grated apple, and then soaked it overnight. His overnight muesli recipe has been referred to as Bircher muesli.
This Overnight Muesli In A Jar is the vegan meal prep-inspired take on Bircher muesli.
