Why You Should Try These Vegan Meal Prep Bowls
- Each bowl recipe is very quick to prep! Each recipe takes between 20 and 30 minutes from start to finish. Trust me, you won’t need to spend all Sunday in the kitchen to whip these up!
- Change up your meal prep from boring sandwiches to any of these three flavour options.
- Each bowl follows the signature Vegan Meal Prep Sunday balanced recipe blueprint! It contains starch, protein, veggies, fat and flavour. As a result, they will help you feel satiated.
How To Prep Balanced Vegan Meal Prep Bowls
Each one of these recipes starts with prepping the vegetable or protein component of the meal. These are the most time consuming aspects of the recipes because they either require some marinating time, simmering time, or baking time.
Use this time to prepare your starch component of the meal! For each of these recipes, I opted for rice as my starch of choice. I love rice and always cook it in my instant pot, which makes the process very hands-off. To mix things up, you can swap the rice for any grain of your choice!!
Once all your meal components are prepped, divide everything amongst 3 meal prep containers. Garnish and store in the fridge for up to four days!
What Are The Best Containers For Meals That Need To Be Reheated?
Glass Containers
For meals that need to be reheated, like these Balanced Vegan Meal Prep Bowls, I swear by the 630 milliliter or 21 oz LOCK & LOCK Purely Better Glass Food Storage Container with Lid. This borosilicate glass container is both microwave and oven-safe, as well as dishwasher and freezer-friendly. It doesn’t stain and has a luxurious feel to it, making it very enjoyable to eat from. It is so versatile that you can bake your meal, freeze your meal and eat your meal, all from the same bowl!
